Abby & Shane’s wedding at Glen Magna Farms was absolutely beautiful and filled with so much love and laughter! Every detail was so perfect between the gorgeous gardens, Abby’s beautiful thrifted finds, and everything in between. My dream New England estate wedding come true 🦢

(I even got to work with my two besties, Jill on content creation and Brooke as my second shooter! Three are always better than one😘)

Thrifted details, Lenox swans, and first looks

Abby & Shane’s Dreamy New England Estate Wedding

Not sure I thought I’d ever use “first looks” and “Lenox swans” in the same sentence, but here we are! Abby did SUCH a great job thrifting for this wedding, featuring so many sparkly silver elements and vintage Lenox swans throughout the day. Before Abby showed up, a few of us set everything up in what we assigned to be the “green room,” gathering all the details for her in a vanity space to surprise her. Golden personalized wax seals, red velvet ring boxes, Abby’s late grandma’s wedding band… it was all so beautiful + made my job easy.

Right when she arrived at the venue, she texted me that they were arriving in a limo—so of course we had to run outside to get the most stylish shots of them pulling up! The vibes started off HIGH, and when Abby got into the green room, she was so excited, it was the cutest! Because she didn’t have a bridal party, it was super easy for us to take our time before the ceremony, just enjoying the pre-ceremony moments. She slayeddd all the getting ready shots, let me tell you.

Once she was all glammed up and looking as gorgeous as ever, Abby did two first looks: one with her brother, and one with her dad on the staircase. Then we went to grab shots of Shane in the library while Abby had a little time by herself—highly recommend blocking in some quiet time in your itinerary during the day like she did, if you can!

An emotional ceremony in the gardens

Abby and Shane knew that their ceremony didn’t need to be complex in order to be meaningful; they kept it super simple, sharing their origins as high school sweethearts (cuties!) and how their love story eventually took them to Boston to pursue their dreams. Emotions were high this entire day, with so many laughs and tears shed from everyone present, and the ceremony was no different. The whole thing was made even more memorable when, right after being pronounced husband and wife (and sharing a swoon-worthy dip-kiss), Shane hit a little bump in the aisle and totally tripped during their procession. We had multiple falls caught on camera that day and everyone’s laughter made it all the better!

P.S. How sweet was that moment where Abby’s dad lifted up her blusher halfway down the aisle? 😭

Golden hour portraits for days

We munched on a lil charcuterie + sipped apple cider before I snagged the newlyweds for portraits, and man did this venue NOT disappoint. Golden hour looked even dreamier amidst the towering pillars, lush greenery, and beautiful gardens around the property. We even popped inside the mansion for a few shots on the staircase—nothing was off limits, we went wherever Abby wanted (and wherever I saw potential)!

Late-night details, dancing, and sweets

If you thought your photographer would only capture your wedding details in the morning, think again—Abby and Shane had such gorgeous decor at their reception that I had to get some late-night detail shots! Personalized matchboxes inscribed with their names + wedding date, a berry buffet with a giant bowl of whipped cream + chocolate-covered goodies, and the prettiest three-tiered cake with two swans on the top… are you kidding me?!

I could not get ENOUGH of these two and the intention they clearly put into every single thing, from morning all the way to their choreographed first dance as hubby and wife. Yes, choreographed—because Abby and Shane don’t half-ass anything. They swayed in the center of the tent to The Way I Love You by Michal Leah, before sitting down to listen to heartfelt speeches from their loved ones. Doing toasts between the first dance and serving food was honestly perfect, because it gave all the guests something to pay attention to while dinner was prepped!

After dinner was cake (trust me, we were all sad to see that absolute masterpiece destroyed by the knife), and a surprise mother-daughter dance. Abby swapped parents and invited her dad on the dance floor, where they started off with an emotional song—only to switch to Party in the USA halfway through to kick off the dance floor. How cute is it that Miley’s bop is her and her dad’s song?!

The fun + festivities didn’t even stop once the dance floor was open, because Abby and Shane brought out props for guests to use/wear—heart-shaped sunglasses and streamers galore—and there was even a pretzel cart off to the side to fill everybody’s late-night cravings. My dreammm.

They had a fun grand exit to end the night, running through a tunnel of waving streamers and loud cheers from their friends and fam. And because the content creator and I had to stay a little late to transfer videos/photos to each other’s phones, we managed to get Abby and Shane running off in their getaway car!

Overall, it was the most perfect day, and I’m sooo glad Abby and I found each other somehow on TikTok. All my best to these lovebirds (loveswans??) 🥰

“Kaitlyn was absolutely AMAZING! She did our engagement shoot in Boston, which blew me away, absolutely stunning photos & made it so much fun! She also did our wedding in October & it felt like I had a best friend there the whole time.

She is so much fun to be around & knows exactly how to get the right shots. She surprised us on our wedding day with film photos & only a couple days into our honeymoon we received soo many amazing sneak peek photos.

She’s so creative, funny, made me feel so beautiful & confident! I couldn’t recommend her enough, the photos are straight out of a pinterest dream. She will absolutely be my go-to for any future photography sessions.
